Certified Automotive Mechanic (304216)

Skill and duties include; Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices; Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions; Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas; Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors…and other duties as assigned

Welder III (304224)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reads and interprets weld symbols on shop drawings and blueprints; Ensures that all welds are complete and of good quality; repairs bad welds as necessary using air arc, or other equipment for gouging; Builds up worn or defective surfaces; Uses burning equipment (oxygen/acetylene torch) on any thicknesses of steel; Makes clean, neat cuts in any thicknesses of steel using various cutting equipment (oxy/acetylene torch, Air Arc, or plasma cutter); Must be able to make bevel cuts; Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.

Fitter II (304229)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Lays out positions, aligns and fits together fabricated parts of structural metal products according to blueprint and layout specifications: QUALIFICATIONS: Must meet all requirements for Fitter I; Minimum of one year experience as a Fitter I; One to three months related welding experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; Ability to read and interpret documents such as blue prints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram form; Must be able to set-up and use track torch (Buggo)

Laboratory Technician, Aerobiology (304090)

The Center for Aerobiological Sciences (CAS), is a highly dynamic work/laboratory environment that demands performance of high quality results-based research, academic scholarship, and overall ability to work together with a diverse group of investigators and technicians from a variety of basic and applied scientific disciplines. DUTIES INCLUDE: Perform aerosol exposure studies; Maintain and calibrate aerosol systems; Perform and supervise biological decontamination procedures for Class III biosafety cabinets post-aerosol; Assist in the maintenance of a modern, well-equipped and up-to-date aerobiology laboratory.. and many other duties as required.

Laboratory Technician (303795)

DUTIES INCLUDE: Perform microbiological tasks; Assists in the design and execution of experiments aimed toward development and maturation of novel molecular and proteomic assays for detection of etiologic agents; Present research findings at internal and external meetings, including conferences and other scientific forums; Work in close coordination with other government contractors and government employees in various studies to achieve program objectives. Contractor shall maintain a safe workplace ensuring that he/she is aware of and observes appropriate safety and occupational health rules and regulations.
