If you'd like to fly in a 1929 airplane, head on over to Frederick Municipal Airport. Former manager Charlie Abell said the historic Ford Tri-Motor landed at the local airport this week. "They're selling rides for $75," he said.
The public will have the opportunity to fly in the Ford Tri-Motor, which is owned by the Experimental Aircraft Association Friday, Saturday and Sunday, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., each day. The aircraft will be accompanied by another Ford Tri-Motor from the Kalamazoo Air Zoo in Michigan. "We have had a really good turn-out, and people have been having a blast," said Colin Souci, pilot.
