Frederick County Commissioners To Host September 11 Tribute

In honor of those who lost their lives in attacks against the United States on September 11, 2001, the Frederick Board of County Commissioners will host the 2013 September 11 Tribute at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11. This year’s ceremony will be held at the Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company Inc., located at 1500 Volunteer Drive, Brunswick, Md., (driving directions are available at

The fire company has been serving the City of Brunswick and surrounding area as a 100 percent volunteer organization since 1897.

Additional details regarding the program will be announced soon.

As a highlight, the program will include remarks from the following: Emcee and Director Clarence Jewell, III, Emergency Communications Department; Board President Blaine Young; Sheriff Chuck Jenkins; Chief Roy Lipscomb, Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company Inc., and Director/Chief Denise Pouget, Fire & Rescue Services Division.
