Hamrick Wins Special Election In Thurmont

 

Wes Hamrick won the special election in Thurmont on Tuesday. He took 341 votes followed by Bill Blakeslee with 187, and Randy Cubbedge with 60 votes.

Hamrick will fill the unexpired term on the Town Commission which became vacant when John Kinnaird was elected Mayor in October. He will be sworn into office on Tuesday, January 14th.

587 votes were cast in Tuesday's election. There was also one write-in vote.
