One Suspect Arrested In Motel 6 Armed Robbery

 

Frederick Police have apprehended one suspect in an armed robbery in January at the Motel Six on West Patrick Street. Cameron Jackson, 22, of Washington DC was taken into custody Wednesday after a short foot chase in the 1600 block of Rosemont Avenue.

He's charged with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, 1st-degree assault and theft less than $1,000.

Police say Jackson was released after posting an $85.000 bond.

On January 3rd, 2014, at 1:09 AM, police officers were dispatched to 999 West Patrick Street at the Motel Six for an armed robbery. Authorities located the victim who was bleeding from his head. He told officers he was inside a room with a female, and she  invited several males inside. One the individuals pointed at gun at him and demanded money.   A second suspect struck the victim with a bottle and a third person went through the victim's belongings. They fled on foot and later in a vehicle.

Authorities are still looking for Julian Griffith, 22, of Silver Spring and Shawn Johnson, 22, of Temple Hills, who are also charged in connection with this robbery.  Anyone who knows of their whereabouts is asked to call Detective Mike Morgan at the Frederick Police at 301-600-1259.
