Pennsylvania Man Sentenced In Frederick County Circuit Court

A Pennsylvania man was sentenced on Friday, in Frederick County Circuit Court, to 26 years, 212 days with all but 7 seven years to serve in the Department of Corrections for 2nd degree assault, fleeing and eluding, driving under the influence and failing to control speed to avoid a collision.

It happened on April 28th, when James Myers not only failed to stop when police attempted to conduct a routine traffic stop, but during the pursuit, authorities said he attempted to strike a member of the sheriff's office with his vehicle and did hit a Maryland State Police patrol car.

Myers eventually lost control of his vehicle while making a turn from Old Annapolis Road onto Route 26.
