Frederick Police arrested two men for attempting to break into several parked vehicles. Gary Steven Lloyd, Jr., 31, and Behn Yanak Brown, 24, are both charged with three counts of tampering with a motor vehicle and being a rogue and a vagabond. Brown is also charged with theft under $100. Both men have no fixed addresses.
Police say they were called to the 200 block of East Church Street Tuesday morning for two men acting suspiciously. After locating the pair, officers searched Brown and found that he had several personal checks which had been reported stolen on a previous date.
Authorities say the two tried to break into parked cars along East Church Street, but were unsuccessful because the vehicles were locked.
Both Lloyd and Brown were taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for processing.
Frederick Police urge citizens to lock their vehicles when they're being left unattended, and remove any unsecured items in plain view.
