Three people were seriously injured after a crash in Frederick Wednesday night.
According to a press release from Frederick City Police, an officer tried to pull over a car traveling in the wrong direction on North Market Street at W.7th Street. The driver refused and fled the area at a very high rate of speed.
The vehicle was located a short time later after it crashed near the traffic circle on South East Street. A male passenger was ejected from the car and two females, including the driver, had to be extricated from the vehicle.
The man was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore while both women were taken to Meritus Medical Center.
South East Street was closed between East South Street and Monocacy Boulevard for several hours while the accident scene was reconstructed.
